Your next step in ICT study starts at Goldhawk College where ICT has been identified as an essential life skill. GC has incorporated the need to make this programme widely accessible to the Ghanaian public with emphasis to Adults by providing teachers and trainers with the skills to develop a successful ICT learning program.
Information and Communication Technology brings new information resources and can open new communication channels for the rural communities. It offers new approaches for bridging the information gaps through interaction and dialogue, building new alliances, inter-personal networks, and cross-sectoral links between organizations.
The benefits of ICT include increased efficiency in allocation of resources for development work, reduced communication costs, global access to information, human resources, and a key factor in encouraging disenchanted and under-confident learners, whether out-of-school youth or adults, to re-engage in structured learning.
To this end, GC aims to focus on improving the quality of provision through extending the range of teaching and learning strategies, meeting individual needs using participative and motivating methods.
